Bob Ferris has been there and bought the T-shirt. He has lived in Dublin and Copenhagen and both cities are now spent. He has a history degree from the University of Calgary, a broadcasting diploma from Mt. Royal College, and a doctorate in mischief passed down to him by generations of ginger-haired druids.
Bob has over 5 years of broadcasting experience in TV and radio. Most recently, he was the associate producer and fan-segment host of Flames TV, airing on Sportsnet West. During his time with Pyramid Productions Bob was also a music videographer for Entertainment Beat, airing on APTN, where he interviewed a variety of artists ’ including the likes of Billy Talent, The Dropkick Murphys, Sarah Harmer and The New York Dolls. While working in television, Bob also produced his own radio show on CJSW 90.9 FM in Calgary, the aptly named Local Heroes. This program was a live music showcase intended to further Calgary’s growing independent music scene. Bob has continued his love for working in live music by doing freelance production in Vancouver for Live Nation and House of Blues, including MC-ing events at the Commodore Ballroom.
